Marseille - port de Corbières

Après une soirée dingue remplie d'émotions pour dire au revoir, départ vers Marseille... Arrivée sans problèmes.  Ces 3 derniers jours ont été occupés à préparer le bateau, à le remplir de nos nombreux bagages et de l'avitaillement.  A le faire découvrir à mes parents aussi qui ont eu la très bonne idée de m'amener jusqu'ici, on est donc sorti pour un petit tour en mer.  Le bateau a confirmé ses capacités : 10,4 noeuds de vitesse pour 17 noeuds de vent.  Malgré mon scepticisme dû au manque d'espace dans le bateau, tout a finalement trouvé sa place et on commence à apprivoiser l'intérieur de Mésange Noire, à trouver sa place, ses marques et ses fonctions.

On attends encore le dernier équipier avant de partir.  Il arrive demain matin.  Seulement, un problème technique au pilote automatique nous contraindra sans doute à retarder le départ.  On espère que tout sera prêt le plus vite possible et qu'on pourra partir mercredi... En voile, tout s'improvise, on dépend tellement des éléments que les plans changent en permanence.  Mais rien de plus déprimant que de devoir rester à quai à cause d'un problème technique, on touche du bois pour ça dure le moins longtemps possible.

After a crazy party with a lot of emotions to say goodbye, departure to Marseille... No problems on the road.  Those last 3 days we prepared the boat, to fill it with all our luggages and the food.  My parents, who had the good idea to drive me here, discovered Mesange Noire and this was the opportunity to sail a bit with them.  The boat confirmed its abilities : 10,4 knots for the speed with 17 knots of wind.  Despite my skepticism due to the lack of space, everything found its own place and we're starting feeling well on it.

We're waiting for the last team member before leaving.  He's coming on tomorrow morning.  But there is a problem with the automatic pilot and it will probably delay the departure.  We hope that everything will be ready as soon as possible and that we will be able to leave on Wednesday... Sailing means a lot of improvisation, we are dependent of elements and the schedule can change at any time.  But nothing is less depressing that to be stuck in the harbor because of a technical problem.

Prochain message quand on saura définitivement quand on part... On passera d'ailleurs par Safi au Maroc avant les Canaries, invités par une connaissance du skipper.  On devrait aussi s'arrêter à Gibraltar pour faire le plein d'essence, c'est en effet beaucoup moins cher qu'ici.

Sinon, l'ambiance entre nous, l'équipage de Mésange Noire, est excellente et la bonne humeur règne, atténuant le goût un peu amer d'avoir quitté nos proches...

Next message when we'll definitely know when we're leaving... By the way, we will make a stop in Safi (Morocco), invited by some skipper's friend.  We should also make a stop in Gibraltar to fill in the fuel, as it is much cheaper than here.

Otherwise, the atmosfeer among us, the crew of Mesange Noire, is excellent and the cheerfulness prevails, mitigating the bitter taste of leaving our kinfolk.
